Mizzou Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach Beau Rich Accepts Coaching Position at Lawrence University
Columbia, Mo. (November 9, 2024) — The University of Missouri Men’s Lacrosse program announced Head Coach Beau Rich will be stepping down from his role to accept a coaching position at NCAA Division III Lawrence University (Wis.). Rich leaves a remarkable legacy at Mizzou, transforming the Tigers into a competitive force within the MCLA Division I Lone Star Alliance (LSA).
Hired in 2022, Rich spent three seasons leading the Tigers. Over 29 games, he compiled an impressive overall record of 23-13, including a 16-7 record in conference play. In 2023, Coach Rich led Mizzou to its first postseason victory in more than 12 years, with a decisive 10-5 win over LSU in the opening round of the LSA playoffs. This achievement highlighted his commitment to elevating the team’s competitive standing. Coach Rich’s tenure was also marked by excellence in player development, with 13 all-conference selections and at least four players earning this honor each year.
“Coach Rich’s efforts as head coach over the past couple years were monumental to the success and development of Mizzou Lacrosse,” said Team President Chase McQueary. “His leadership and dedication to the program were unmatched. We are truly sad to see him go, but we wish him the best of luck in is new endeavors.”
The search for Mizzou’s next head coach is underway, with the goal of building on Coach Rich’s foundation and advancing the program’s success.
