Tallahassee, Florida – In its first game against an MCLA Top 25 program since 2013, University of Missouri men’s lacrosse team lost its first game of the three-game road trip to No. 22 Florida State 16-2 Friday night.

After giving the Seminoles pressure on their first possession, the Tigers weren’t able to handle Florida State’s high-powered offense as the team let in 15 goals before junior captain Kevin Boyle (Wellesley, MA, Wellesley) put one in the back of the net in the fourth quarter.

Shooting became a problem for Missouri in the contest as the team only put three shots on cage in the first half and ten total in the game.

Goaltender and junior captain Matt Needham (Northbrook, IL, Glenbrook North) posted 17 saves in net, the most this season.
