After three games on the road, including Saturday’s hard-fought loss to Vanderbilt, the Missouri Tigers have learned a lot about themselves individually and as a team. Saturday, though, the team seemed to run out of gas on the final day of its spring break trip and couldn’t hold onto the first half lead it had built over Vanderbilt.
A lot of stuff happens when a group of people spend seven days on the road together — traveling by bus, sleeping three or four to a room and a steady diet of fast food. Along the way the men played with new teammates in their line, played some new positions and deepened their definitions of teamwork and brotherhood.
Oh, and by the way, the team received its new uniforms just in time for Saturday’s game.
Four conference games remain for the Tigers and they are ready to work hard to win those games and continue down the road toward the national tournament.
Missouri plays at Lindenwood on Wednesday, the game scheduled for 7 p.m.
