On a cold snowy Saturday afternoon the Mizzou Women faced off against Washington University, winning 10-8.
Snow blanketed the field and the teams were forced to play through very harsh conditions. The first half was a back and forth battle with both teams taking and giving up the lead. At half, the teams were deadlocked at 6-6.
The Mizzou Women intensified their play and the men picked up the cheering. Refusing to let the conditions affect their play, the women fought on. With the snow falling, the final whistle blew with the Mizzou Women up 10-8. The second game of the day had to be canceled after several MU players suffered injuries due to the cold.
