Mizzou beats Missouri S&T 14-6

Ryan McKibben (12) is congratulated by Chris Heim (1) after McKibben scored.

On Saturday March 6, the University of Missouri faced off against Missouri S&T.  A morning chill crept away by game time, giving way to a warm and sunny afternoon. A hard fought battle by both squads proved to be exciting and intriguing for Mizzou fans to watch.

Mizzou jumped out to an early lead scoring four straight goals and never relinquished the lead throughout the entirety of the game. Mizzou’s stodgy “Maneater” defense continued with their hard-hitting play, which is quickly garnering them a reputation for a defense to be feared. Coach Keith Euker was happy with the win saying, ” We worked well today as a team and proved to ourselves that if we focus on the details, the winning will come.”

Mizzou now looks towards their first conference game of the season at 3pm Wednesday, March 8, at home (Stankowski Field on the MU campus) against the University of Illinois.
