The Missouri lacrosse teamed didn’t get ahead of themselves and played a solid game against Texas State Thursday, winning 14-10.
With a big game coming on April 9, the team didn’t look beyond this game, putting up a five goal lead before Texas State put up their first goal, in the second period.
Defenseman Ethan Payer broke open the second half when he ran nearly the length of the field, thought about passing the ball off but took the shot instead. Goal!
Mizzou was lead by attackman Zach Nisson with six goals and two assists (eight points).
Tim Adams followed with four points (one goal and three assists) and Gerry Leonard with three (two goals, one assist). Jake Huebert scored two goals, with Matt Vollmer and Sam Gaynes added one goal each.
